BSG Creations ("we," "us," "our") is a small art business run by Boston artist Barbara Goodman. We sell original paintings, prints, and gifts featuring Barbara's artwork at bsgcreations.com (the "Site") and through selected retail partners and marketplaces. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us - Your name, email address, shipping and billing address, and phone number when you place an order or create an account. - Order details, such as the products you buy and the painting you choose for a custom order. - Anything you send us through our contact or custom order forms, by email, or in a product review. - Your email address, if you sign up for our emails.

Payment information. Payments are handled by secure payment processors. We do not see or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect information about your device and how you use the Site. This includes your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and how you arrived at the Site. Some of this is collected with cookies and similar technologies (see "Cookies" below).

How we use your information

To process, make, ship, and deliver your order, including custom orders.
To answer your questions and provide customer service.
To send order and shipping updates.
To send marketing emails, if you've signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time.
To show you relevant ads on other websites and social media, subject to your choices below.

Our store is hosted by Shopify

Our Site is hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes your information when you visit our Site and make purchases. Shopify also uses information about your interactions with our store, with other Shopify merchants, and with Shopify to provide services to us and to you. These include personalization, fraud prevention, improved search and product recommendations, and more relevant advertising. Other merchants cannot see your information. Who we share your information with

We share personal information only as needed to run our business:

Shopify, our e-commerce platform, as described above.
Print and fulfillment partners. Most of our products are made to order by print-on-demand partners such as Popcustoms and Printify. They receive your name, shipping address, and order details so they can make and ship your order.
Shipping carriers such as USPS and UPS, to deliver your order and provide tracking.
Retail partners. Some of our products are also sold by other independent shops through Shopify Collective. If you buy one of our products from a partner shop, that shop shares your order and shipping details with us so we can fulfill the order.
Marketplaces. If you buy from us on a marketplace (such as Etsy or Faire), that marketplace's privacy policy also applies.
Advertising and social media platforms, including Pinterest, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google (including YouTube), and TikTok. They help us show our products to people who may like them and measure how our ads perform.
Service providers who help us run the Site, such as apps for product reviews, forms, email, and customer messaging.
Legal and safety. We may share information to comply with the law, respond to legal requests, or protect our rights, our customers, or others.

Some of these companies are located outside the United States, so your information may be processed in other countries.

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, some US state privacy laws treat sharing information with advertising partners for targeted ads as a "sale" or "sharing." You can opt out, as explained below.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site working (for example, to remember your cart), to understand how the Site is used, and for advertising. When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time through the banner's preferences. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the Site may not work properly without them.

Your choices and rights

Opt out of targeted advertising. You can opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for targeted advertising by using the Your privacy choices link at the bottom of our Site, or by emailing us. We also treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a request to opt out.

Access, correction, and deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to request a copy, or to ask us to delete it. To make a request, email us at bsgcreations@gmail.com. We will not treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights. We may need to verify your identity before responding. If we delete your information, Shopify will also delete it from the services described above.

Marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any marketing email.

Customers in the UK, EEA, and Switzerland. We rely on your consent for advertising cookies, and you can withdraw it at any time through our cookie banner. You can also use the Shopify privacy portal to withdraw consent or object to Shopify's processing of your data.

Children

Our Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

How long we keep information and how we protect it

We keep order information for as long as needed to fulfill orders, provide customer service, and meet tax and accounting requirements. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and payments are processed over secure, encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Links to other websites

The Site may link to other websites, such as our social media pages. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last changed.
